Portaferry Mens Shed exists to address social isolation, promote physical and mental health and wellbeing, and, in our own small way, try to redress some of the social determinants of health.
If you, or someone you know or care about, is looking for an open and safe place to come meet people, participate in arts, crafts, hobbies and community projects, or just shoot the breeze and enjoy some craic and camaraderie, why not pop along?
We are open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 10am – 2pm, and 7pm – 9pm at Portaferry Presbyterian Church Hall, opposite Portico. (Free parking available)
As the nights draw in, ferry fm is getting ready to launch our autumn schedule. Not only are we live each each weekday with Hendi’s Hits from 7-10am, we’ve also a number of new shows to keep you entertained at night.
The Big Bopper will be bringing you his brand of chat and country every Monday and Thursday evening between 8 and 10pm, on a Tuesday night we’ll be bringing you some cracking memories from the 1980’s with Jimmy Leavy, while it’s the Singalong Show with TC on Wednesday and on Friday night Davy Sims takes us right Around the World on a musical journey, to places far and wide.

Ferry FM is saddened to learn of the passing of Davy Fitzsimmons. Davy was a member of Portaferry Gala Festival Committee for many years and was always on hand during Gala Week to help out where needed. Davy will be greatly missed and we extend our sympathy to his family circle and friends.
Join Davy Sims every Friday evening from 8pm on Ferry FM as he takes us on a musical journey “Around the World”, starting tonight, Friday 13th September.
Davy, the latest presenter to join the Ferry FM line up, has worked on Downtown Radio, BBC Radio 1 and BBC Northern Ireland and brings a wealth of musical knowledge for a great start to your weekend.
